Athletics Weekly is the UK’s No.1 website, magazine and social media hub for road racing, track and field and cross country, avidly followed by runners, athletes and fans alike.
Our brief, increase traffic and convert magazine subscribers into online subscribers. We planned, conceptualised, designed and built a fully bespoke news platform for the online magazine to publish from and reformatted the overall structure of the site to make it more accessible to search and users. The UI was developed considerably and simplified to help with new user conversions. The new platform was now also completely responsive.
With so much of the development structured around SEO and content implementation, the increase in traffic they received was far greater than initially anticipated and the site has since gone from strength to strength. So much so that since development the magazine has been purchased by ‘The Great Run Company’ who continue to run the site now.
